We have had an amazing summer of weather up here. The only day it didn't seem so great was the annual Coigeach Gathering, our version of the Highland games. It was a blustery day on Badentarbet beach as everyone huddled around the plant stall and drooled as the wonderful smells of a roast venison haunch drifted around us all...actually, I was too busy on the case of the raffle tickets. Raffles in Achiltibuie usually consist of the donator of a prize winning it back and this year was no different. The lucky winner of a side of Summer Isles Foods smoked salmon was none other than our very own Iona who works in the office!
